Quadra Snow Days

The evening of December 4th...clear, cold and a new moon. Who knew what was in store for us.
Snow! Lots of it! Winter had arrived. The house was covered in snow and the ocean looking very wintery.
The yard too was covered in snow and also  looking wintery.
And then the sun came out! Glorious.

Beaver totem pole with snow.

My geraniums snug and warm in my studio and still blooming.  I think they have been wintering indoors at least 5 years.

Snow covering the Japanese maple branches

Beautiful.

Our mountains at sunset.

Last rays of sun.

The shed in the sunshine..which lasted for days.

More sun on the yard
Marnie's mochi bowl covered for winter

Snow sparkling

I came upon this dog trotting down the snowy road. Wonder where he was going and where he had been.

The road to town, note the lack of traffic.

Apple tree in the snow

Neighbor's barn and our orchard

Buck's bench

The holly adds a touch of color

Birdhouse and the huge maple branch that fell during a wind storm
Sheep down the road are looking a bit chilly.

Since "selfies' as so popular here is a selfie of me. Holding up the apple tree?
